Andy Sheridan is a celebrated Northern voice whose work spans the stage, screen, and radio. After winning the Bruntwood Prize for his debut play Winterlong and receiving the Tom Erhardt Award for emerging writers, Andy has become a mainstay of British theatre. His 2020 adaptation of Wuthering Heights opened to critical and popular acclaim at Manchester’s Royal Exchange, cementing his reputation as a master of both original and adapted narrative structures.

With a CV that includes roles in Industry, Control, and Shameless, Andy knows exactly what makes a script “shootable” and “performable”. Having also served as a Script Reader across all stages of the Bruntwood Prize - reading and reporting on thousands of entries since his own winning submission - he brings a rare dual perspective to his dramaturg practice: the instincts of a working writer and actor, and the forensic eye of someone who has seen what separates a good script from a great one. He is dedicated to telling untold stories with imagination and clarity.
